A survey run by Post Office Travel Services has warned that many families planning to go away for the upcoming half term holidays leave their travel insurance plans too late.
A third of people questioned leave packing and sorting out travel insurance to the last minute (if at all). 20% of people go away without insurance which can put families at risk.
Buying foreign currency is also something which is left till arrival at the airport and this can be too late to take advantage of some of the best currency deals.
This survey should serve as a stark warning for those going away on holiday and people should listen to this advice carefully.
