A Which? Survey has recently reported that most consumers generally dump their old electrical items than recycle them because they do not know the best way to dispose of these goods. Electrical items such as radios, cameras, irons, hairdryers and kettles are frequently put out with the general waste.

Less than half of those who responded to the survey actually knew that recycling these small electrical products could really help the environment. Therefore, these items are put out with other refuse.

This just goes to highlight the problems that we all face. It is up to those in power to really advertise the benefits of recycling products. If people knew more about their environment and how they can work together to save it, surveys such as this will tell a different story.
