Bulungula, South Africa is the place to visit if you are into Eco-travelling. This lodge set up by a local South African business man and the local community, it is situated on the edge of the Bulungula river where the river meets the Indian ocean, complete with fabulous surroundings of forest and fields and 5 hours drive from the nearest town. With no noise or no pollution, this lodge gives you the chance to experience village life and is Eco in every way. Your stay is only payable on arrival direct to the villagers (along with all yours trips of the local area) and the site is completely carbon-neutral, as it runs on solar and wind power and any emissions generated are offset by planting a tree – I love that idea!!
