A recent report has warned the tourism industry that it should expect many dramatic changes over the next few years due to the ever-changing climate.
Forum for the Future have produced a report entitled Tourism 2023 which has suggested that the list of popular destinations holidaymakers are willing to visit will be affected by climate change.
Over the next 14 years there may be astronomical congestion problems at some of the world’s key transport hubs due to the ever-expanding Asian population and increasing pressures on the world’s key resources.
Demand is expected to exceed supply and long-distance travel may eventually prove to be too costly for the average person. As cleaner technologies make green travel much easier, some of the more energy-consuming ways to travel may become a thing of the past.
